Claudia Hannum, LISAC
Claudia is a graduate from Grand Canyon University where she obtained her masters’ degree in Addictions Counseling. As a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC), Claudia is passionate about helping individuals break generational patterns and establish new ways of coping. She utilizes evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Claudia recognizes the correlation between substance use and mental illness, and she has extensive experience treating clients with depression, anxiety, conduct disorders, PTSD, and ADHD. Claudia provides psychoeducation to help clients build healthy boundaries and increase insight and self-awareness. She works with couples and individuals in helping build strong relationships and improve communication. Claudia understands the importance of providing a safe space, one that is conducive to healing through the use of Trauma Informed Care. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and may conduct sessions in either language to accommodate client’s preference.
Paula Norris, LMSW
Before earning a Master of Social Work from Arizona State University, Paula served in the U.S. Army and deployed to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. After completing her military service, Paula became a minister in a nondenominational church, where she worked with individuals, couples, families, and children from many different walks of life. During grad school, Paula was an intern at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System where she co-facilitated suicide prevention groups, assisted veterans navigate end-of-life issues, and worked at the Fisher House with families of veterans who were receiving intense treatment at the VA. Upon graduation, Paula worked as a Counselor at a Crisis center for drug addiction and mental health working with patients from the community to establish the best treatment plan and level of care needed. Paula has worked with adults, couples, and families experiencing PTSD, drug addictions, mood disorders, personality disorders, and psychiatric disorders.
In her personal life, Paula has engaged in Equine Therapy and has experienced first hand the healing and growth that can happen while engaging in therapy. Through a client-centered approach, empathy, and compassion, Paula aims to create a safe space where healing, growth, and hope can be found.
Shay Wills, LAC
Shay is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) holding a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. He possesses experience in assisting individuals coping with a spectrum of psychological challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relational difficulties, grief/loss, and navigating life transitions. His professional journey has afforded him the opportunity to engage with diverse demographics, including Hispanic, African American, as well as gay and lesbian communities.
Operating within a framework of various therapeutic modalities, Shay employs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, client-centered therapy, and trauma-informed care. His approach is characterized by a compassionate commitment to tailoring treatment to meet each client’s unique needs, fostering a non-judgmental environment that seeks to empower clients by leveraging their inherent strengths and resources.
Dr. Kristine Andersen, PsyD, LMSW
Dr. Kristine Andersen is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who holds a Doctorate as a Clinical Psychologist. Dr. Andersen has broad expertise supporting individuals, couples, teens, and adults through trauma, PTSD, depression, substance use, anxiety, and grief. She brings over fifteen years of experience in social work and clinical psychology, serving diverse populations including veterans, active-duty service members, and Indigenous communities.
Integrating CBT, DBT, trauma-focused and expressive therapies, Dr. Andersen creates a warm, collaborative space where clients can heal, grow, and rediscover their strengths. A military veteran herself, she provides culturally informed, compassionate care rooted in empathy, humor, and respect for each person’s unique journey.
Dr. Andersen is passionate about helping clients transform pain into resilience, guiding them toward renewed clarity, balance, and hope.
Megan Troyer, LAC
Megan Troyer is a Licensed Associate Counselor based in Gilbert, Arizona. She provides therapy to adolescents and adults, offering both warmth and honest support to help clients navigate life’s challenges.
Megan specializes in trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and women’s issues. She is trained in EMDR and integrates a person-centered, trauma-informed approach that empowers clients to process painful experiences, build resilience, and discover their own strengths.
Her therapeutic style balances compassion with directness, creating a safe and collaborative space where clients feel supported, encouraged, and gently challenged. Known for her fun and energetic personality, Megan believes therapy doesn’t always have to be serious—she incorporates humor and lightness alongside the deeper work of healing.

Michelle Chayt, LCSW
Michelle Chayt, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Arizona State University. She works with adults and aging adults, providing therapy to individuals, couples, and groups in a supportive, trauma-informed setting.
Michelle specializes in working with clients experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, as well as first responders, veterans, postpartum clients, and peri-menopausal and menopausal women.
Her therapeutic approach is collaborative and evidence-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to guide healing and growth.
Michelle believes therapy is a space to build resilience, process life’s challenges, and foster meaningful change through compassionate, client-centered care.
Gary Peterson, LAC
Gary Peterson, LAC, is a Licensed Associate Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling. He works with adolescents, adults, aging adults, couples, families, individuals, and groups, offering trauma-informed, inclusive care across the lifespan.
Gary supports clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders and has experience working with first responders, veterans, neurodivergent individuals, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
His therapeutic approach is integrative and client-focused, drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Family Systems Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Christopher Church, LAC
Christopher Church, LAC, is a dedicated therapist who works with adults and supports clients from a wide range of life experiences. He has experience helping clients navigate anxiety and depression. Christopher is especially passionate about helping veterans and individuals who feel overwhelmed by trauma or stress find hope and regain a sense of control in their lives.
His approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and focuses on creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard and empowered to share their stories. Known for his approachable and relaxed personality, Christopher gently challenges clients to develop healthier coping skills while emphasizing that problems do not define who they are. Tammy Tran, LAC
Tammy Tran is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) who works with children, adolescents, teens, and adults. She specializes in anxiety, depression, and life transitions, and supports clients navigating trauma, identity exploration, self-esteem, attachment concerns, and emotional regulation.
Her approach is warm, collaborative, and strength-based, integrating evidence-based therapies such as CBT and ACT while drawing from trauma-informed, attachment-focused, somatic, expressive arts, and person-centered practices. Tammy creates a safe, compassionate space where clients feel understood, empowered, and gently supported as they build coping skills, deepen self-awareness, and create meaningful, lasting change.
