Our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners
Patty Born, PMHNP-BC
Patty Born is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Master Life Coach, and multifaceted wellness professional whose practice is deeply anchored in resilience, empathy, and post-traumatic growth. Born and raised in New York City, her path into healthcare was forged through personal survival. After a life-threatening experience during the birth of her fourth child inspired her to become a Registered Nurse, she later expanded her scope to become a PMHNP during the COVID-19 pandemic to support frontline workers and individuals facing trauma, PTSD, depression, and anxiety.
Patty’s background encompasses a broad range of clinical environments, including two years providing psychiatric care in correctional settings, as well as experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Educator of Infant Massage. As a two-time suicide loss survivor, she brings profound lived experience and compassion to those navigating grief, anger management, and life transitions.
Bringing an authentic, down-to-earth approach to her work, Patty creates a supportive environment where clients feel comfortable taking steps toward positive change. Now living in Tucson, Arizona, she is dedicated to helping individuals build resilience, heal, and thrive independently. For anyone hesitant to begin care, Patty offers a simple word of encouragement: "Just give it a try. It might make a world of difference!"
