
Stefanie Prince, LMSW
Hello, I am Stefanie Prince, and I am a licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and PMH-C. I have been serving children and families in the Tucson area for 19 years. My various social work roles have allowed me to serve in community mental health, elementary schools, hospitals, pediatric settings and private practice therapy. As a native Tucsonan, I completed my bachelor’s degree at the University of Arizona with a degree in Sociology and received my master’s degree in social work from Northern Arizona University.
My philosophy for therapy is to be attuned to the client’s needs and walk beside them. It is not my focus for treatment, but yours. Therapy is patient lead. It is my aspiration that everyone leaves our sessions feeling heard and seen. As a social worker, I strive to adhere to the words of Maya Angelou, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel”. Feeling safe and seen is critical in our therapeutic alliance and outcomes. I incorporate mindfulness, CBT, behavioral activation, psychoeducation, DBT, motivational interviewing, strength and solution-based modalities. I am eager to hear you, support you and make the changes necessary for a life worth living.
