Shannon Barefield, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work. She is dedicated to helping adults and aging adults navigate complex life transitions with compassion and trauma-informed care.
Shannon works with individuals and specializes in co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, trauma, neurodivergence and autism spectrum, peri-menopausal and menopausal concerns, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care.
Her therapeutic approach integrates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), somatic or body-based approaches, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
She believes therapy is a space for healing, self-discovery, and empowerment—where clients can reconnect with themselves and create meaningful change.
