
Mike Cook, LAC
Mike Cook is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) who provides therapy for adults 18 and older from all walks of life. He has experience supporting clients with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, moral injury, identity exploration, and challenges related to relationships, family, and social expectations. Mike works with a wide range of clients, and he is especially familiar with veterans and first responders, finding it rewarding to support these populations.
Mike’s therapeutic approach is trauma-informed and collaborative, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy, attachment-based practices, somatic techniques, and narrative work. He provides a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their stories, build resilience, and engage in meaningful growth.
Passionate about helping clients uncover their unique strengths, Mike strives to empower individuals to return to fuller, more balanced lives. His decades of experience teaching and mentoring in other fields inform his creative, supportive, and goal-focused approach to therapy.
