Diana Apolinar, LCSW

Licensed Therapist
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience providing therapy and behavioral health services to adolescents, adults, and families across a variety of settings, including integrated primary care, inpatient psychiatry, outpatient mental health, crisis intervention, schools, and substance abuse treatment programs. I am licensed in Arizona, New York, and New Jersey.
My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. I strive to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to work through life challenges at their own pace. I believe therapy should be a space where individuals can safely process difficult emotions, gain insight, build healthier coping strategies, and move toward meaningful personal growth.
I have experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, stress, substance use concerns, life transitions, emotional dysregulation, and severe mental health conditions. My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and supportive therapy, while tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals.
As a bilingual therapist fluent in both English and Spanish, I have extensive experience working with culturally diverse populations and understand the importance of providing care that is respectful, culturally sensitive, and individualized.
In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about community service and animal rescue and have spent many years volunteering with animal welfare organizations throughout Arizona.
