Cota Piehl, LPC
My therapeutic style follows an eclectic and trauma-informed approach that integrates
the connection of mind, body, and spirit. Based on your needs, various modalities such
as EMDR, CBT, DBT and mindfulness are implemented. By targeting negative
thoughts, memories and beliefs, we will be able to heal those trauma areas and create
positive ways of thinking and functioning, develop stronger boundaries and have
healthier relationships.
I am a compassionate and intuitive therapist who will support and at times, challenge
you while providing insight and guidance and offering a nurturing, calming and
nonjudgmental environment. My goal is to bring resolution where its needed—I want
you to feel empowered, and walk away with newfound happiness and contentment.
Together, we will develop new coping mechanisms for you to apply in your lives.
I primarily work with adults and have experience working with refugees and
LGBTQIA+ communities. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction and
relationship issues. I have a Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Cultural Anthropology. When not working,
I enjoy pilates, yoga, hiking, camping and spending time with friends and family.
I would be honored to be part of your journey. Look forward to meeting you!
